Stories of ancient milling, of the different uses of olive, oil and vinification

The important wine and olive oil tradition of Umbria is told in some excellent museum collections. In particular, in the village of Torgiano are hosted the Museum of Olive Oil (MOO) and the Wine Museum (MUVIT), owned by Giorgio and Maria Grazia Lungarotti. In the village of Trevi, on the other hand, could not miss the Museum of the olive culture, a testimony to the strong link between the community and its territory surrounded by silvery olive trees. In addition to these two structures are the Franciscan cellars kept in the Museum complex of St. Francis in Montefalco and the ancient oil mill in Costacciaro.

In the halls of these museums, you will loose yourselves among stories of milling related to the ancient Greece, the different uses of olive and olive oil and the vinification. You will also be able to admire rare and important archaeological finds, refined potteries from the Middle Ages to contemporary times and traditional processing tools.
